In the laborious process, everything is valued; including stakes in publicly traded and privately held companies, real estate holdings and investments in art, yachts and mansions. Forbes’ estimates are a snapshot of wealth as of August 31, 2007.A complete listing of The Forbes 400 can be found at www.forbes.com
