Planned Expansion in Southeast Markets Will Position Stanford Group Company as a Leading Private Wealth Management Firm in Region

Industry Veteran Rollins Joins SGC To Lead Charge

Houston, TX - April 11, 2005 - Stanford Group Company (SGC) today announced the opening of two new offices in Dallas and Boca Raton as part of an ambitious expansion aimed at positioning the Company as the leading private wealth management firm in the Southeast.

As part of its effort to extend its reach in one of the fastest-growing regions for private client services, Stanford Group Company also revealed plans to expand to a series of key Southeast markets in the next 12 to 24 months. These moves will continue the expansion begun last year when Stanford Group opened offices in Memphis and Longboat Key, Florida.

Stanford Group Company also announced the appointment of industry veteran Eddie Rollins to lead its broker-dealer business as executive director of the expanded private client group. Rollins, who has deep roots in the Southeast, brings nearly 19 years of financial services experience to Stanford Group Company. Most recently Rollins ran the Southeast region for H&R Block Financial Advisors, a NYSE national firm. Prior to that, he was a managing director for Morgan Keegan and also managed several branches for PaineWebber.

The growth of its private wealth management business is part of Stanford Group’s aggressive plan to develop a full-service financial services company, building on the success of the Company’s international private client business. SGC’s experienced financial advisors provide high net worth clients with a comprehensive array of custom-tailored wealth management services including financial planning and advisory services backed by exceptional, personalized customer service. Danny Bogar, managing director, Stanford Group Holdings, said, “Stanford Group Company’s goal is to become the Southeast’s premier privately held high net worth client boutique - building on our excellent reputation for service, integrity and successful long-term investment strategies. We believe the increasing consolidation of the financial services industry is creating a huge opportunity for Stanford, as smaller regional firms have been acquired by larger national banks.

“We are delighted to hire someone with Eddie’s proven experience building and managing fast-growing, high-quality businesses to lead the charge.”

Eddie Rollins, executive director of private client services for Stanford Group Company said, “I wanted to join Stanford Group Company because of the long-term commitment I see from Allen Stanford and Danny Bogar to high-quality, personalized private client financial services. As other firms subcontract their services - many of them outsourcing clients to impersonal call centers - Stanford Group is committed to helping individuals successfully plan and manage their financial futures through personalized local service backed by the global resources of Stanford Financial Group.”

Rollins continued, “Stanford Group Company’s strategy is to put the resources our clients need for successful investment into place right at the local level, throughout the Southeast, to build on the 70-year Stanford tradition of superior customer service and to become a vital part of the communities where we do business. This is a company that I am so proud to help expand.”
